As 2012 comes to a close the lists start to spread like wildfire. The best of the best in national and local magazines posted each year with fantastic insight and usually outstanding covers.
In the December issue of Internet Retailer magazine your portal to e commerce intelligence they have listed their annual Hot 100 list. This list is comprised of 100 of the worlds best retail web sites. An outstanding list for anyone with a website to reference and "borrow" ideas from.
There are some familiar faces on the list as you might have already guessed Amazon.com, Buy.com, are the top two but there are some companies and websites that I was not too familiar with like BooksaMillion.com and Poppin.com.
They have also seperated the list with special catagories like mobile commerce and computers/electronics and a dozen other seperate lists. If you would like to see all 100 companies go to Internet Retailer's website.
Think online shopping is still a novel idea well check this out according to the magazine over 70% of adults online bought something in the second quarter at an average of about 1 product a month. Wow!! This according to comScoreInc. That is a huge number and it will only continue to grow as we move toward the mobile revolution. The easier these online stores make it for us to buy the more we will certainly do.
So where does our company rank on this list? Unfortunatly we did not make the list this year. But that is ok because a lot of our own customers did and we couldn't be more proud.
