Here at In The News, we often talk about the benefits of getting a custom wall plaque of a featured article in a newspaper or magazine. However, we can create plaques of more than just your major news articles.
For people who are heavily involved in the Texas oil industry, big game hunting or are just an avid reader of publications such as The Wall Street Journal, the name of Lary D. Knowlton might be familiar. Vice President to one of Texas’ fastest-growing oil producers, Lary has been featured in numerous trade and economic publications, many of which he has commemorated with custom-crafted plaques.
There’s more than one way to commemorate your personal and professional milestones! Here at In The News, we’re typically known for helping customer immortalize their accomplishments with a featured article plaque. However, we do more than simply mount articles.
Not too long ago, we talked about how Babe Ruth’s Hall of Fame plaque was removed from the museum for the first time since it was put in there so many decades ago. Here on our blog, we’ve often discussed the value of using a featured article plaque to help promote your business or as a way of motivating people around the office. However, there are more uses for a plaque than showing off at work.
In America, people love to have things their way. Getting something made to your specific order is such a basic part of the customer experience that fast food chains have used it as the basis for their corporate mottoes for decades. Car dealerships sell innumerable different “package deals” for their products, and there is a huge industry for aftermarket parts to be added after a car has been bought. Our own plaques are custom-made for each customer as well.
Recently, Todd Knowlson, our sales manager, challenged the rest of the In The News team to help him make a difference in the lives of others. He was working with Schools for Haiti, a registered 501 (C)3 charitable organization that is dedicated to helping the children of Haiti reach adulthood and live fuller, happier lives.
Here at In The News, we’re pretty well-known for helping people commemorate their favorite news and magazine articles by preserving them in a custom wall plaque that they can share with their friends, family and new acquaintances. As a matter of fact, we pride ourselves on our custom wood and crystaline acrylic featured article plaques. However, we can plaque more than just print and online articles.
Midway through the month of April, thieves ventured into the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Wichita, Kansas and vandalized the USS Dorado Memorial display. Two of the plaques were stolen in their entirety, and a third was left at the scene of the crime.
